Posts in style

To break my week-long of silence with the usual  #ootd shots against beautiful splash of red wall is a little ironic since I have been in my lounge attire to work and back home. I have been too occupied with work and personal life that I forgot to tell myself to take a little breather. This has been the longest since I have travelled as well and it is breaking my brain cells. Anyway, I have wanted a pink cap for so long ( well , perhaps only after seeing K-POP stars wearing it) and after what feels like a year, I finally gotten my hands on a Champion pink cap.

Coincidentally after buying the hat, I bought an almost same shade of pink of top from apparently the biggest Uniqlo, which I might add, felt like I was in Oxford Circus Primark where there were tons of human cashiers shouting loudly trying to get customers moving like goats towards the cash register. There will always be that one person who is day dreaming and just seem to not give a f**k on whether they are the cause to long queue.

The purchases were quite uncommon to me as honestly as pink is not exactly my favourite shade of colour. I am one of those humans who hates pink as a kid but now the shade of pink that I am fond of looks good against my tropical weathered skin.

Paired the look with big & square gold earrings as a finishing touch to my upper body to add a sort of edgier touch and not to forget that I was a 90s kid (well... growing up in the 90's counts as well.)

So, how have you been?

Rose Cheongsam // Happy Chinese New Year!

How was everyone's Chinese New Year? I am currently under high fever and stuck at home after having a good vacation. I think I am allergic to my own cats - how sad is that? Every time they are around me and I am playing with them, my nose gets super itchy then it leads to a big headache which then turns me to ms.hulk. Tomorrow is a start of work as it is apparently a lucky / good day (via fengshui) to start the new year with, SO WISH ME LUCK!

Love, Iqa.

I got into a car crash.

Back here after two weeks of my new work. Everything is going so well and I have been learning and adapting to hopefully my full potential. I do miss the freedom of a freelancer where I could work anywhere, anytime but I am feeling good about it. The free times I have is actually cherished a little bit more than before. Maybe way more.

I am working alternate Saturdays as well which is a little weird for me. This two weeks focus has just been work - now its time to divide time to exercise, family and loved ones.

By the way, I got into a really bad car accident on my first day of work. Can you believe it. Right before I got to work, a car hit me from behind when I was at a traffic light. I was more worried texting my new boss " errr i will be late." . It is horrifying being one of those people messaging late and me overthinking whether my boss thinks I am lying. Hence me sending bunch of images on WhatsApp to him. Loll.

But thank got the guy who hit me is also an car insurance / owns his own car workshop - so I got my car fixed in a week! It was nerves-wrecking not knowing when I would get back my transport.

Anyway, enough blabbering for now. Here is to a good week <3

Happy Chinese New Year <3

Happy Chinese New Year my fellow internet humans <3 To those who celebrate it, how was it?

Did your elders annoy you with the:

"Omg you are so big now!"

" Why are you not married yet?"

"Eh you are so ___ (insert body type -> because nothing is good enough)"

and the worst that I usually face is

" Why you never work with you father? More money maaaaaa

CUZ I WANT TO HAVE MY OWN LIFE DAMMIT. (what I would say back then as now is just a shrug and sip on more beverages that would be in front of me at that time of moment)

So seriously, how was your CNY?

Love, Iqa.

The Ticking Clock.

I like to think that I do not have time to savour the moment of freedom before I began my new career move next week when I have actual ample time to sit back, relax and gobble on cheap Daiso snacks that are actually quite delicious. I actually can't wait to start work with all these ideas to implement and little things that could be tweaked from a third perspective.

Oh, Happy Chinese New Year to my fellow humans!  Malaysia has way too many public holidays that being festive has become a celebration of the day being away from work - or is it because I am getting older that any kind of celebration seem to take quite a lot of personal energy? Eid Mubarak is usually the worst time for me as my brother loves to show his antics (only that time of the year though) and make our lives (the women in the family) suffer. He will scream, act sleepy, scream even louder and at time just step on your leg for the fun of it.

Love, Iqa.

going on an ultimate voyage

Who knew wearing a shirt that says "the ultimate voyage' was apt for the adventure I went on yesterday. We took the wrong route due to my fault really, thinking Fraser Hill and Bukit Tinggi was the same thing. The two hour drive was lovely as we got to eat delicious food along the way with this bubbly uncle who told us that his Hainan Coffee mix with Tea was the best - and indeed it was. The view, the cold breeze, the companion and everything else was just perfect. Even when realising it was the wrong place and heading towards the right destination was a feat even though Raichu, our mode of transport kept turning its engine off if acceleration was not needed. I will share the beauty of the adventure on another day, but now an #ootd of what I wore. From what was suppose to be a 45 minute drive to 5 hours on the road well spent.

I am in love with the Young Forever /Halo video above by Queen B and Jay Z. I think I am a sucker for all romantic things and the performance was so personal that made me shed imaginary tears. Maybe it is because I watch way too many Korean television series ( latest fav K-drama has to be : Reply 1988 ) and I am one of those who give a loud squeal when I see couples gazing into each other eyes filled with love. Are you a weird romantic as well? Love, Iqa.

Fear not when, fear not why, fear notmuch while we're alive
Life is for living, not living up tight, see ya somewhere up in the sky
Fear not die, I'll be alive for a million years, bye bye's
are not for legends, I'm forever young, my name shall survive

black and white; uninviting?

I have a month to go before I start the new career move (check out previous post) and I am currently going through my calendar on what I want to do before I start focusing on work again. When I start work, I would like to be dead for the first three months before I get the hang of everything and the goals I want to achieve for the company.

After enrolling myself in one sewing class which I had loads of fun, I paid an invoice to an art class in early February. Some art therapy would be good for the soul and some inter state travels is much needed. What will you be up to?
